General Information

Patient confidentiality:

We take confidentiality very seriously at our practice and all personal information is treated with the strictest confidence. Only members of staff have access to patient information and we work by a strict confidentiality policy. To see a copy of this policy, please ask ay reception.
Under the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR), the practice is registered with the Information Commissioners Office.

Other information:

  • You can express a preference about which dentist you wish to see and we will make all reasonable efforts to ensure your request is met, however this may not always be possible. Should you wish to express a preference of practitioner, please state who you would like to see when booking your appointment.
  • The following additional languages are spoken at the practice: Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu and Spanish.
  • If you have a disability that you think we need to know about please call us before your appointment and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. We have a ground floor surgery with wheelchair/disabled access.
  • Missed and short notice cancelling appointment wastes time and resources which are needed for other patients. Our practice policy is that if, on more than one occasion a patient cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice or does not attend an appointment, then we will no longer be able to offer NHS treatment. We will of course take any special circumstances in to account. We may still be able to offer private dental care, but we do require a non-refundable deposit.
  • Patients who are violent or abusive towards any members of staff, patients or anyone on the practice premiss will be refused treatment and reported to the appropriate authorities.
  • We accept the following methods of payment at the practice: Cash & all major credit and debit cards.

NHS dental care:

The full range of NHS treatment (except orthodontics and sedation) is available at our practice but a referral to an external specialist may be needed. Automatic exemption applies if you are: Under 18, 18 and in full time education, expecting a baby or had a baby in the last 12 months. Or in receipt of the following: Income Support, Income-Based Jobseekers Allowance, Income-Related Employment & Support Allowance, Pension Credit Guarantee Credit, Universal Credit, NHS Tax Credit Exemption or a valid HC2 certificate or HC3 certificate (partial help). Proof of exemption is needed when you come for your appointment.
If you are unsure about NHS exemptions, please ask your dentist or reception for advice.
